Student residence clean-up with Big Sack

As the end of the semester approaches, foreign students studying in Switzerland at a university such asL’EPFL or EHL Hospitality Business School are preparing to leave their accommodation and return home.

Prior to an inspection with the property manager or landlord, students are required to clean and empty the accommodation. This includes the removal of all furniture and private appliances. This can be a complicated and time-consuming task, especially when it comes to transporting large items to recycling centers.

Mattresses, furniture and sofas are often difficult to recycle because they are voluminous and are not always accepted at the recycling centers. The solutions available to students are therefore relatively limited. Furniture can be resold either through advertisements or through specialized companies, such as the "Man & Van" company, which is a good alternative. The prices of this type of service can be relatively high, however, as they employ people for several hours to get rid of the bulky waste for you.

As you can see, if you don't own or rent a van to get rid of your kitchen chairs and other furniture yourself, you will probably need the help of a company like Big Sack.

One tip would be to ask your friends or roommates to help you fill your Big Sacks and save time. Don't hesitate to contact us!
